Prayer for one’s parents
Supplications from the Quran and Sunnah for honoring and praying for one’s parents, for spouses at marriage, and for righteous offspring and the protection of children.
Among the best supplications is the Quranic prayer: “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small” (Quran 17:24) — comprehensive and said both during their lifetime and after their passing.
It is recommended to say to them: “May Allah bless you, shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness” — a supplication established from the Prophet ﷺ.
