The Days of Tashriq are the 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah, immediately following the Day of Sacrifice. Pilgrims spend their nights at Mina and stone the three Jamarat, and for everyone they extend the joy of Eid al-Adha. The name refers to the old practice of drying the sacrificial meat in the sun.

The Prophet ﷺ described them: "The Days of Tashriq are days of eating, drinking and remembering Allah." They are the "appointed days" of the verse "And remember Allah during appointed days," and fasting them is not permitted — except for a pilgrim who cannot find the tamattuʿ sacrifice.
